Found this place on Yelp while visiting Green Bay from Florida. Didn't want McDonald's or any other fast food. Our party consisted of 2 adults and 1 kid. We ordered: 1. The special pancake (red white and blue) with one egg and toast. 2. Cherry pancake and hash browns. 3. Pancake and porky. Portions were huge - could only eat 1/2 of the pancake. Everyone loved what they got. When the bill came, we were shocked - all of this for $19.92!!! Wasn't the most updated place, but the food was fabulous and the prices couldn't be beat, so no biggie!

Second visit in two days... This is a humble neighborhood pancake joint with an expansive menu, damn good coffee, and some of the best hash browns I've had in a long time. Girlfriend had corned beef and hash yesterday - thought it was delicious and generously portioned - and I had the hearty breakfast (eggs, hash browns, meat and toast) which was a bit more than I could pack away in one sitting, though it was tasty. Today we chose the Mediterranean eggs Benedict and the Sir Hearty (Benedict was delicious, but the Sir Hearty came with a ground sirloin instead of what we were expecting). Service was still prompt and overall we're still pleased with everything. Leaving it at a 4 because although food was excellent the service is a little meh and the ambiance is a bit dated. Still worth a visit, though.

I love coming here for breakfast on the weekend. This is a nice, cozy diner. Their pancakes are HUGE! My favorite is the chocolate chip, and I have such a hard time not ordering that one and trying all their other varieties. Plus, I like that they leave the thermos of coffee at your table so you can pour as you please. And their chili (with noodles) is so good! Their menu has a really good variety of foods... but most of it is pretty greasy (it's a Wisconsin diner for sure). The prices are great... super reasonable for the huge amount of food you get, and the service is outstanding! Weekends do have pretty long waits, so plan on arriving early or sitting around for a while, but it's worth it!

Wonderful place. My wife and I split 1 pancake and the country stuffed hash browns and we just couldn't finish it because the portions are huge. The food was very good and the service was very friendly - even though they were very busy. I will definitely stop in again if/when we get back to Green Bay

The restaurant was clean. service was friendly and professional. Menu is expansive with many options. Ordered Hearty Breakfast with One pancake. The pancake was huge. Bigger than the plate and perfectly prepared. Hash browns had a nice crispy outer crust and the eggs fluffy. All of n all a great diner feel with top notch breakfast food at nice price. Strongly recommend.

I really tried to like this place. I have been here a couple times and the food is always okay nothing special. If you are looking for diner food this is sub-par. I am a fan of eggs and toast and every time I go in I order mine over-easy they have never been done properly. Either they are more of a scrambled egg or they are raw. I also once ordered a waffle and it had so much pie filling on it it became uneatable. I gave them three stars because they are dirt cheap and you pay for what you get. My family likes going here and my mom loves that she can order her hash browns extra crispy. The portion sizes are also rather large.

This is a gem of the Green Bay area. Breakfast is fantastic, cheap, and plentiful. Pancakes, of course, are a must when eating here. The coffee was served freshly brewed and piping hot, left on our tables in thermos's for us to serve ourselves as we needed I ordered the hearty breakfast with rye toast, hash browns, bacon and scrambled eggs. The eggs tasted good; nothing really the write home about. The hash browns were delicious, served as a huge pile under the toast and bacon with a decent amount of grease on them. The potatoes were also unsalted when served which I personally liked. The toast and bacon came as expected; savory and delicious. Along with my heart breakfast platter, I ordered their pancake of the month for July, the red white and blue pancake. I'm glad I ordered a single pancake, the portion size was absolutely massive! The pancake came with strawberries, blueberries, and large dollop of whipped cream in the middle, drizzled with blueberry and strawberry syrups. A little too much sweetness for me, the rest of my party enjoyed a bite or two of it. This place is definitely a food highlight of my trip to green bay. There's too much good food to experience in one sitting!

Awesome pancakes! We ordered the Mexican omelette, Classic Stuffed hashbrowns, short stack pancakes, and coffee. The omelette was very good, fluffy eggs stuffed with taco meat, topped with sour cream, salsa, cheese, and black olives. It came with a side of potato ( hashbrowns or american fries) and choice of blueberry muffin, toast or English muffin. I got the blueberry muffin, which was just your standard, convenience store, packaged muffin, not fresh. The stuffed hashbrowns were just a dish of hash browns on the bottom, cubed ham, green peppers, and onions, covered again with hashbrowns. Think if someone were to toss your skillet around and then plopped it on your dish, this is what you'd get. The ham was unremarkable, grocery store cube ham. I think next time I'd try the stuffed hashbrowns with the gravy on top. The pancakes are a real standout. As you can see in the picture, they are as big as the plates! They are served with huge portions of butter, cherry sauce, and strawberry sauce. However, the sauces are passable as they have no real flavor to them. There's a sign on their wall that said they've won ' Best Service Staff ' award 5 years in a row. Or waitress, Shelley did a very nice job for dealing with two people who were in a hurry to get back on the road.

So here's the brutally honest review... Good quick friendly service. Ate breakfast for dinner. My husbands 2 scrambled eggs looked like 5 eggs. The pancake was dinner plate size. The eggs, bacon, hash browns and home fries were great - portions were large but the pancake really had no flavor. The pancakes at George Webb or my kitchen for that matter are far better. By its name I was expecting outstanding pancakes but I was sorely disappointed. I only at half of the pancake. This is the reason for 3 stars - the pancakes should be impressive at "the Pancake Place"

Absolutely delicious, country style comfort food! The stuffed hash browns are simply amazing and the staff are very kind. I recommend ordering the half size/short stack portions as the platters are huge!! Definitely coming back next time I'm in Green Bay!

Where anyone who loves a homestyle breakfast goes to eat in GB. The locals know. Portions big enough to share, staff that is on point and hospitable, food that is fresh and homecooked. When I'm on a cheat day - it's all about their hash browns. My kids love their pancakes (leftovers for 3 days) and I love feeling like I'm at home without having to do the dishes. Super family friendly.

  • Kathy S.

Everything on the menu is great! The prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. But what keeps me coming back is the incredible staff! Friendliest wait staff in town!!

    (5)
  • Kelly F.

Decent food. Huge portions. Very inexpensive. Mediocre coffee, but they give you an entire pot, so there's that. For pancakes/waffles , just order 1. They are huge. For the stuffed hashbrowns, go with the half order. The full order seems to give you extra hashbrowns, but not extra toppings/goodies, so if you get the half order, you have toppings mixed in with every bite. With the full order, you get to a point where you are just eating hashbrowns because you run out of fixings.

My husband and I are from Los Angeles, CA we came for a MNF game and looked up places to eat that are a must! This was one of them. When we arrived it almost immediately gave me the impression that we were in a hometown diner and I loved it! Diners are my fave! Service: It was good not great no complaints. This establishment was busy so I know that the waitresses are busy and they need to turn tables quick. However because we are from LA it would've been nice for our server to ask us how everything was going, or where we were from and how do we like it here. We don't know much about this town besides our favorite Packers so some table conversation would've been nice. She was on point though had my husbands needs anticipated without him having to ask. Food: I'm stuffed and only with one pancake! Husband got 2 and didn't finish and I also ordered hash browns my absolute favorite hash browns ever! Homemade are the best. Overall I give it a 3.5 only I couldn't put it in the star ranking my phone didn't let me. Would we be back? Maybe I would try some other places as well. Thank you pancake place!!!

Great place to eat! Casual, family setting. Pancakes are H-U-G-E! Amazing range of options on the menu. The waitstaff here is exceptional. We had Linda Lou who was very attentive and exceptionally kind. Great place. I hope we can make it back next time we're through.

We visited The Pancake Place for breakfast and had the best server ever, Linda V. She was super friendly, had a great personality brought everything in a timely manner and everything was great. They give you large portions of delicious food so come with an appetite. We definitely recommend this restaurant and were very impressed by Linda. She's a true gem!!

Great breakfast and extra friendly service. The pancakes are HUGE so don't order more than one!! The stuffed hash browns are fantastic. This is the place for breakfast in Green Bay.

Sad day today. I have eaten at the Pancake Place a number of times and have been reasonably happy with my meals... Especially the huge pancakes and waffles. Today I ordered the stuffed hashbrowns and it was way below my expectations. The meal came out about 4 minutes after I ordered which should have sent up a red flag (in some cases quickness is nice... not in this case)! The hashbrowns in my meal were gray, lukewarm and mushy. There was hardly any meat in the "stuffing" and the size was much smaller than I remembered in the past. Have they changed there portion size to save cost, or did I just get the end of the pre-made hashbrowns that were left on the grill from the lunch rush? I watched other meals that came out of the kitchen after mine and the hashbrowns came out looking a bit better... At least not as gray in color. (What in the hell makes potatoes turn gray?). Hopefully this was a one time exception and not the new norm. Otherwise play it safe and order the omelette or pancakes in the future. They advertise that they have won "Best of the Bay Breakfast" for the last 5 years. If they continue to serve the gray mush I had today there run may be coming to an end. I'm also very sad that they removed all the Packer Stuff (are there new owners?). I really used to get a big kick out of the Chicago Bear and Minnesota Viking stickers that were in the urinals.... Not that was funny stuff!!

I don't understand the compliments but maybe I was there on a bad day. I am from Maine and I ordered my favorite breakfast dish - eggs benedict. Here was the worst I've had anywhere in the world (quite literally) ; the eggs were underdone but the worst part was the Hollandaise sauce was broken and vinegary. Besides that there wasn't much and the sauce sold be the star of the plate.

    (2)
  • Emily P.

The waitstaff is always super friendly and the food is awesome! The pancakes are absolutely huge and the prices are cheap for how much you get. Best bang for your buck in all of Green Bay!

  • S G.

Egg and potato dishes: 2.5 stars. French toast: 3.5. Waffles: 4. Pancakes: top marks. You should go here for the pancakes. Doesn't matter which flavor you choose, it's all good. And unless you have a bottomless stomach or a hollow leg, stick with a short stack. Most people don't finish that. I like the tropical pancake with coconut, banana and pineapple. Also anything nutty. You will understand why people go here for pancakes when you try the place.

I've heard a lot of great things about this place, but my experience was awful. The food was down right disgusting, and the place was filthy! Yuck!

  • Jacob H.

Great breakfast. Stopped here on the way home from Door county to Milwaukee. The food was delicious with fast servings. There were more than generous servings. I ordered the chili stuffed hashbrowns and they were more than good. The chili was average, eggs overcooked, but it good enough for me with their prices. The coffee was really blah, nothing special. I wouldnt say the food had the freshest of ingredients but for a cheap family breakfast meal go to this place indefinitely. Make sure you order a HALF ORDER though because their portions are off.

    (4)
  • Alan R.

It's a diner. It's good food. The service is always friendly. The coffee is average. They are known for pancakes, obviously, with many varieties. They are also known for the stuffed hash browns; which are huge.

My boyfriend and I went to Green Bay for a Packers game and were looking for a good breakfast place. On a whim we went to The Pancake Place and we were more than pleased! The food was fantastic and the staff were friendly and fun. Expect a wait, especially on game day. But the three-meat pancakes and stuffed hash browns are well worth it. Sharing is recommended as the portions are huge. Loved this one!

    (5)
  • Kathy K.

Excellent food and service. The portions are HUGE, so keep that in mind when you're ordering. The service, as I said, was excellent and the prices were very budget-friendly. If you do go on Sundays when there are home Packer Games, go early because once the after church crowd gets there, the place is packed. Whenever I come back to the Green Bay area, I will definitely eat here again.

  • Eric E.

Spent a couple of days in Green Bay and after reading the reviews decided to try this one for breakfast. There was a long line when we got there, but only had to wait 15 minutes to get seated. The service and food was very good. Would definitely go here again!

  • Gary B.

Went in sat. am Not impressed at all after hearing good reviews about it. Wife and I had omelets.not very good. Wife had ham and cheese omelet that was nothing more then scrambled eggs mixed together and folded on plate. I had mexican omelet that had hardly any meat on it but a lot of salsa which is all you could taste. Had potatoes that were bad. service was ok and fast but wait staff needs to stop calling everyone "hun" Wait staff also needs to stop concentrating on regular customers and ignoring new ones except for delivering food and finally giving check. saw wait staff do this constantly they would stop and talk to we could tell that were regulars giving them priority and walk by others like us as if they didn't exist. Wife tried continually to get attention of wait staff but they just walked by.

Amazing food and service was also phenomenal. Make the time to go. We drove all the way from Oshkosh and were not disappointed at all !!

  • Becky H.

It is definitely worth the wait. Service is good and prices are fair. It is crowded on Sundays so don't wait too long to make it over.

  • Matthew J.

The food was terrible. I had the stuffed hash browns, and while the portion size was generous, the potatoes were raw, the sausage inside was not browned very well, and the eggs were a little undercooked. We were very disappointed. The service was good, not the food makes this not worth the trip.

Awesome food, large portions and good service. Perfect place to bring the kids. You won't be disappointed.

The hash browns are great!! Skip the chain restaurants and get a wonderful breakfast. Friendly staff comfortable diner - style decor, the perfect place for breakfast after a Packer victory. Coffee comes in a full carafe that can be refilled all for a super reasonable price. Fresh shredded hash browns like no other, try a stuffed hash brown breakfast!

  • Maggie V.

Our favorite breakfast place. Delicious food, many options, and the most fun staff around. Friendly, old school sweet, and over the top hospitality from the waitresses. Pancakes come with an array of fixings. Excellent food.

  • Bill R.

In Green Bay for work. Before checking out Lambeau Field I needed something to eat. It is end of November and a bit chilly. Something substantial was the order of the day Acting on the waitperson's recommendation I ordered the stuffed hashbrowns, most excellent choice. If you are counting calories you'll need a calculator, if you want a great local place for breakfast, this is it in Title Town.

  • Susan L.

I can't say enough how good the food is here. I have been eating here off and on for 16 years. Their hash browns are made with real fresh potatoes. Pancakes are great and the service is quick and friendly. This is totally a local diner in the decor and service style. I can't imagine what it must be like on a Sunday morning! So good!

  • Billy V.

One of our favorites!! This is one of my family's favorite breakfast spots! There is almost always a wait to get a table, which is a great sign of a good restaurant! They get you seated and served quickly, so no worries about the wait! They have HUGE pancakes...I'd never suggest ordering more than one unless you are a really big eater... And most pancakes are under $3!! Try the stuffed hash browns and you'll have enough for 3 meals or more! Enjoy! You can't go wrong here!!

  • Matt B.

Only gave it 3 stars instead of 2 because the staff were so friendly. I ordered 2 of their humongous pancakes. The pancakes were extremely bland and lacked any flavor even with the pineapple and ham cooked inside (I ordered the Hawaiian). They weren't even really pancakes. They were just large circular cakes. Also, the syrup wasn't that good and I even added some of the raspberry and strawberry goo they put on the table, and that may have made them worse. The food wasn't all bad, we were a group of 6 guys and we split an order of the stuffed Hash browns, and those were quite good. I would recommend those to any who are in GB and try this place. 2 of the guys ordered omelets and they looked good, but to have the namesake of the place be such a dissapointment, is the reason for the low review.

  • Nick B.

The stars are for their breakfast. Amazing pancakes and stuffed French toast. I wouldn't go here for anything other than breakfast as their other food is sub-par.

Carrie was out server and was an absolute joy. She was attentive and friendly even thoughi was wearing Pittsburgh Steelers gear! We had the fried cinnamon French toast and the half order of the country stuffed hash browns. Tons is food, and quite tasty. French toast ess crispy I the outside and soft on the inside. The hash browns were sliced so thin it was amazing. We highly recommend this restaurant of you're in area. Enjoy! I've added some pictures to the gallery of our dishes. Oh, and the coffee was great too!

Loved this place! Service was fast and the pancakes were delicious. If you like breakfast this is a must see visit spot. The pancake is bugger than the plate and not expensive at all.

Holy pancakes the size of your head!! No exaggeration. Go big or go home I guess. Either way, I wish the Pancake Place was located down the street from me as opposed to Green Bay. Boo. My experience was great. The service is top notch - over the top friendly and super speedy. The food was delicious, especially when the menu offers a variety of 100+ diner type items. As for the pancakes, they really are huge. Dinner plate sized. There's blueberry, strawberry, banana, pecan, chocolate chip...and the list go on. I was pleasantly surprised to find they even served wheatgerm pancakes. The pancakes come with a tub (yes, a tub) of whipped butter, whipped cream, strawberry preserves, and raspberry preserves. One, plus the toppings is more than filling. I'm not sure how anyone could possibly eat more...but you have that option! It's also worth mentioning they make great eggs, benedicts, and french toast. I definitely found my breakfast place in Green Bay. I look forward to my next adventure up north where I can dine on some massive, tasty cakes.

Delicious, cheesy, creamy, fatty goodness. Everything on the menu is designed to give you a heart attack and this is why it's so delicious. We stopped here on a short little road trip after staying at a hotel nearby. We didn't expect much from the place, especially since we've found so many good breakfast places in Chicago. We didn't think it would compare. But honestly, this place blew away our local Walker Bros. Pancake House, which is saying something. I got a pancake that was filled with yummy fresh blueberries. The pancake was light and chewy, and the blueberries were perfect and gooey. The tub of butter accompanying the pancake was to be expected as we were in Wisconsin. The real highlight of breakfast was the stuffed hashbrowns. They take a layer of hashbrowns and top it with some delicious breakfast food and then put another layer of golden, crispy hashbrowns on top. I did my stuffed hashbrowns country style, and so they were filled with sausage, cheese, and onions, and then topped with more cheese and a thick layer of sausage gravy. Words can't describe how wonderful that concoction was. If you're a fan of sausage gravy things, I promise you'll leave this meal completely satisfied. Word of advice: get a half order of the stuffed hashbrowns. There is no way I could have eaten a full order. The serving sizes are immense. Besides, if you get a half order you can also get a pancake for kicks. Highly recommended.

  • Sarah C.

"Ma'am, are you aware of the size of our pancakes?" :) You know you are at the right place when you place your order and the sever is concerned you have no idea about the quantity of pancake you just ordered. She then had to use two hands to demonstrate the size. It was awesome.

  • Annette K.

Down home comfort food, HUGE portions, reasonable prices and a ridiculously friendly and efficient staff. Just get there early because you may need to wait in a line to be sat!!! It's that good and that popular with we locals:)

  • Barbara T.

We were visiting Green Bay and we stopped in here because of all of the good reviews. There were 5 of us. We waited for our table so we were expecting a really great meal. It wasn't. They basically serve massive quantities, but the quality is poor.

  • Debbie H.

This place has the best breakfast menu in Green Bay, the food is always hot and the wait staff is always friendly. They have the biggest pancakes I've ever seen, and they are really good, and they have so many flavors to choose from and they're super cheap. You can get alot of food for very little money, you just can't go wrong with this place. Also the rest of the food is great too, my Husband always gets the waffles and they are huge, he says that they are great. And when you order, they always bring a 3 cup container of butter and raspberry sauce and strawberry sauce. Bottom line, for the money you can't get a better breakfast anywhere.

    (5)
  • T E.

We eat here because you get a lot for what you pay. Food isn't the highest quality but it's a diner atmosphere so you really can't expect 5 star quality. The service is always great and the staff is great with our two kids. They kids always want to go here because they love their chocolate chip pancakes.

THIS is Customer Service with GREAT food! Home-made pancakes, freshly shredded potatoes for hash browns AND GREAT SERVICE. OMG! This is how a restaurant should be! Fast, kind service. Daughter got an Oreo pancake - I don't like chocolate in my pancakes, but this was amazing! I ordered the apple/cranberry short stack. Warning. Do NOT get the Short Stack. It is NOT SHORT! A short stack is enough to feed four people! Husband ordered the Eggs Benedict stuffed hash browns. We were so full - but it all tasted so good - so we shared all of our plates ... and still ended up taking 1/2 and Oreo pancake and 1-1/2 Apple/Cranberry pancakes home! We also ended up walking several miles to help us digest. Wow. We'll be back - there are so many choices (breakfasts, sandwiches, lunches, dinners, etc.). We saw many different items being ordered, and they all looked really good. It is tough to decide which is better: The Staff or the food. You cannot go wrong with this place. Go - you'll be thankful that you did!

  • Melissa T.

Terrible. Awful. Disgusting. They do serve huge quantities. But it's huge quantities of lukewarm slop on a plate. Go if you want to feel like crap after eating all of the processed, frozen, store bought "food" they serve. We all felt terrible the rest of the day after eating that slop. The stuffed French toast had more cool whip and frozen apples in sauce than toast. The stuffed hash browns were just eggs under frozen hash browns. Not even very hot. In fact, some bites were quite cold. The hollandaise sauce. Gross. The good thing: it was cheap.

  • Hayley B.

Staff was friendly and wait time was only about twenty minutes (Sunday Morning 10am) but I was disappointed with the food. It wasn't very good, the pancakes were just okay, they didn't have a lot of flavor unfortunately, although the mix ins were pretty neat. Based on reviews I thought they would be better. But I guess you get what you pay for, because it was only $2 for a pancake bigger then my face. Overall it's okay, wasn't the best food ever. Probably wouldn't go back if I were ever in town.

Love The Pancake Place but lately it seems like the quality has gone down. They can't seem to cook eggs Benedict it's been over cooked big time. There so busy they don't seem to care about you. I used to love this place but it's not what it used to be.

I don't know Green Bay and I found myself in that fine city for 1-day. We were wandering around some industrial area and came upon a street with restaurants. The city was pretty much dead at 11 AM on Sunday morning. We came up to the restaurant, and it looked like a major event was taking place. There were tons of cars parked, pulling in and leaving The Pancake Place. As I walked through the front door, it looked like I was walking into the 1970's. What was interesting, is that the place had an old, classic diner feel, however, it was really kept up well. The waitress was incredible. She treated us like we were old friends. We ordered all you can eat fried chicken, which came with choice if potatoes, a hot vegetable, soup, cole slaw, and a homemade dinner roll. The price was cheaper than fast food, but it definitely tasted homemade. The chicken was among the very best. We ordered a pancake to share; after all, this is The Pancake Place. The pancake covered an entire plate and it had a mountain of strawberries and whipped cream. The pancakes were fantastic. I came into this restaurant purely based on the Yelp ratings. Thank you fellow Yelpers for recommending this place to a lost, hungry traveler.

I ordered the country stuffed hash browns (basically a skillet with more hash browns piled on top). Not very good. The hash browns were way too soggy and there wasn't much flavor overall. My wife ordered the apple pancake (only needed one because it was literally the size if a large plate and almost an inch thick). It was very good and they served with a variety of toppings on the side. The coffee was super weak/watered down. Could see right through it. The service was so so. Felt rushed and didn't refill water without asking. Went on a Saturday during breakfast time and was not terribly busy though a short wait.

I have been here so many times and have never had a less than great meal. The Omelets are excellent, the pancakes are huge and some of the best I have had, the burgers are some of the best in the area (I especially recommend the brat burger) and the dinners are good as well. The service is always great and friendly, the food is so good that celebrities have come out of their way to go here.

I highly recommend this spot for breakfast. It has a classic family diner feel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered way too much food but everything was the delicious. Everything is made from scratch and it shows. I will definitely recommend this to anyone who takes a trip to Green Bay. You should support this family business!!

This local favoite is a sure way to get filled up with whatever you are hungry for... It's a quick immersion to the local flavor and even has a Packer trivia book. Ok, on to the meal. The portions are huge, so it makes sense to be very hungry, have a huge appetite, or share with a friend. I would not consider the food gourmet, however for a casual friendly place, with a lot of local flare, this is a gem that everybody enjoys. It surely is worth a try if you are near and seek fulfillment.

Everything is great. The stuffed hashbrowns, combined with the amazing pancakes, combined with the atmosphere, makes this one of the best breakfast places I've ever been to. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I would always come here on our days off to get some great breakfast when we didn't feel like cooking it ourselves. Awesome service, great food, reasonable prices. Wait, AMAZING prices! I almost forgot how you can get a pancake the size of your PLATE for $2-3!! No kidding! (and the plates aren't small) We will definitely back when we visit Green Bay!

After moving to Green Bay from Milwaukee, I have been on the hunt for a good breakfast place. Arrived on 11/2 at 10:30am. We were seated right away, had our drink orders taken right away. The menu is extensive and they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner but breakfast is served during all hours. Service is fast and the food is delicious! My husband had the biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs. I had the classic stuffed hashbrowns. AMAZING! I couldn't finish my plate it was so big, plus the hashbrowns are made with fresh potatoes, NEVER frozen. So Yummy! This is our new breakfast place, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

When we pulled up to the Pancake Place, there were people standing outside and crowding the front of the restaurant (heck, the rest of the restaurant, too). Don't be fooled by the mirrors on the far end. The place isn't that big. We were told the wait would be 15 minutes, so we walked down to Walgreens to pick up a couple things. Of course when we came back 17 minutes later, our name had been called. We really didn't have to wait long for a table, though- And there were five us of- on a Saturday. The service was pretty slow. The hostess who seated us asked if any of us wanted coffee, and we were brought water and coffee. Those who didn't want coffee had to wait a bit to make their drink order. After taking both orders, the drinks still never came until our food came, and that was only after asked when they would come. I had the corned beef hash and eggs with rye toast- Quite delicious and tasty. A friend across from me ordered blueberry waffles and stuffed hashbrowns. Thinking the hasbrowns would be more of a side, she was a bit surprised when a heaping plate of hashbrowns covering egg and veggies was placed in front of her. She had to put a large portion of it on another plate just to be able to eat it without making much mess. The blueberry waffles looked delicious. She was able to eat probably a quarter of it after the hashbrowns. Everyone else was too stuffed.

I live in Los Angeles, CA and am originally from the Fox Valley area. I remember a remarkable pancake spot as a child that is no longer there. I found it's replacement. Not only are the pancakes delicious, the staff was wonderfully friendly. I may be over exaggerating about the staff since I do live in LA and am comparing it to the lack of friendliness that I am used to. Having breakfast here before going to see my beloved Packers made one of the greatest days of my life. I look forward to having breakfast here when I come back the Denver game. I highly recommend. Just please don't go on that morning so I can get a table please..

ONLY THREE REVIEWS FOR THE PANCAKE PLACE? WHAT IS WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU PEOPLE? I heart the Pancake Place. Ever since my parents moved to G.B. years and years ago, "The Pancake Place Find Dining," has been our go-to-at-least-once-while-I'm-in-town-breakfast-joint. And I always order the same thing: one chocolate chip pancake and hash browns. Note: I cannot vouch for anything other than breakfast here, nor would I actually suggest coming for anything other than breakfast, even though this place's menu is roughly the length of a college textbook. Stick with breakfast and you will not be disappointed. Sure, the coffee is weak and much of the food is greasy -- but it's delicious. The pancakes are, quite literally, the size of your head. The piles of hash browns are not far behind size-wise. Also, the last time I came, I spied something new on the menu "Stuffed Hash browns." My dad tried them -- they are, as you can imagine, breakfast ingredients "stuffed" into a huge pile of hash browns. For example, the Mexican one is hash browns stuffed with things like meat, cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, etc.. Can you imagine? Heart attack on a plate? Possibly. But a tasty one! All the waitresses at the Pancake Place are super friendly, too. They never rush you, but service is usually quick, even when they are swamped (which is pretty much all the time). Come here! And order a chocolate chip pancake!

My family and I were visiting from out-of-town and went to The Pancake Place for breakfast before our flight back. Though the wait was about 15 minutes, we browsed the menu and tables turned very quickly. Once sat, we were treated with waters before even ordering which I thought was a nice touch. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and definitely knew what she was doing. She asked all of the questions that needed to be asked to get our orders right. The Wisconsin accent was just an added bonus. We wanted her to say "toast" about 50 more times. The food was well priced and well-portioned. Though we did see some dishes coming from the kitchen that were HUGE so I can't speak for all of the menu items. I had the Apples & Cinnamon pancake with over easy eggs and wheat toast. It was all delicious. By the time we left, at least 3 employees came to our table to talk to us about where we came from and made us feel like regulars even though we had only been in just once. I will definitely return if I am ever in town again.

Visited this restaurant on Yelp and Best of the Bay recommendations. I was completely and utterly disappointed. The eggs were covered in what appeared to be that same yellow spray oil they use at McDonalds. Swimming in it is a better description. The hash browns were so mushy they were more like mash than hash and didn't really even taste like potatoes. Considering I was excited that they advertise that the hash browns are made fresh, rather than the frozen pre-cut junk most diners sell these days, I was not happy. Sent my plate back after 2 bites and the staff did not handle my complaint well. They even tried charging me for the pile of garbage I was served until I complained again at the register. My fiance choked her eggs and toast down since she was starving, so we paid for that plate. Our server was generally polite but most of the staff seemed young and inexperienced. Edit: nearly forgot: as we left the restaurant and walked up to our car, we found a pile of vomit right next to the front passenger side tire.

I want to start off this review by stating that this place should get 5 stars for breakfast, but because breakfast is not the only food served I will give the Pancake Place a 4 of 5. You cannot really go wrong with anything on the menu for breakfast. I really don't care for pancakes, but these are enormous and good. Eggs are cooked perfectly no matter how you order them. Breakfast potatoes are great ass well (I suggest hash browns). The crispy bacon is the first thing off my plate. You will be overstuffed after eating breakfast here. I went here one time for dinner and ordered a burger, it was good, but definitely not the reason to come here. If you do come to Green Bay to cheer on the best football team of all time (The Packers) make the Pancake Place an early stop for breakfast.

This pretty much sums up typical Green Bay "cuisine" on a plate. The food is yummy, down-home, and portions huge. This is our go-to place for family birthday dinners. Kids love the larger than dinner plate size pancakes, I'm more partial to their Gyro type meals, they have like 5 different meals with Gyro themes, all great. Never had any bad service here either. They also have free wi-fi available, so bring in your gadgets. Saturday and Sunday mornings are their busiest times and Fridays during Lent can be busy. Never a long wait but the waiting area is pretty small. Btw, this would be an excellent Diners, Drive-ins,and Dives location. Only thing making it not a "Diner" is lack of a counter seating area.

Been coming here since I could eat off the kids menu. My favorite breakfast place ever! If you leave there hungry, there's something wrong with you. I love their Gyro meat, and yes they garnish it with a lot of onions, but you don't have to eat them. I think their hash browns are the best, only gripe would be that they're a bit salty. But they still taste great and are by no means a salt lick. The stuffed hash browns are awesome, my favorite is a toss up between the Benedict or the Country Style. Yeah, this place is great!

Lot of fun, a down home diner. Huge, huge pancakes--one is going to be fine for most non-farmers! These are the size of your plate, a half-inch thick style of pancake which is a little cake-ey for my taste; but these were pretty good, and they will mix in a lot of stuff (blueberrys, bananas, nuts, chocolate...) which can allow you to create your favorite pancake flavors. Good eggs, only fair potatoes--they are clear on their menu that they peel and cook the fresh potatoes themselves but the result had a little more grease than I'd like. Very classic, and VERY filling place to start your day. We were only there for breakfast but the dinner stuff (fried chicken etc) looked attractive, too.

This place was definitely a local favorite we decided to try. I had the omelet and it was delicious. The service was great and all the people were so nice. The table behind us ordered the pancakes and they were literally the size and thickness of the plate. They looked amazing.

If you like American style breakfast you can't go wrong with The Pancake Place. It's small and plain but the food is good and comes at you quick. If you don't have a heart condition try the Benedict stuffed hash browns. The breakfast burrito also rocks. Perfect hangover food.

One of my favorite places, if I am craving breakfast food! I LOVE the American fries! LOVE THEM! Bacon is always nice and crispy, too, which I like. The pancakes are very good as well. Much too large for me to eat even one by myself. Hubby and I usually get one to share. They have a good variety of diner classics for lunch and dinner, as well. Quality is good, not necessarily great. Prices are very fair, as well. And the service is always OUTSTANDING, even for non-regulars! All-in-all, a good value for anyone!

Absolutely delicious food!!! I had the stuffed hash browns. It looked like it might be a lot on the menu, but I finished the entire plate and am craving more of those delicious buttery eggs, crispy hash browns and lovely ham. A bit of a wait on a Sunday morning, but the line moves fast and well worth the wait. Friendly and courteous staff, quick service. Highly recommended.

Went here for last minute late dinner and maybe it was because it was late in the evening (730pm). They close at 8pm, so maybe their kitchen was trying to close early. The food was just ok. Wouldn't go out of my way to go here. They serve breakfast all day, and my wife ordered their a breakfast item that they said was very popular. I forgot what it was called but it had a heap of hash browns on top of it. Very big meal but was just ok. I ordered the Fried Chicken dinner which they also said was very popular. It was tasty but I think they overcooked it because we were that last people in the restaurant and they wanted to go home. Try to go earlier for dinner and maybe for big breakfasts.

The Pancake Place is one of the few remaining true diners in the Green Bay area. The food is great (if a little greasy) but what would you expect from 60's diner food. The lines get out of control long during the weekends from about 9AM till 1 or 2 so plan on waiting for about 30mins to get a seat (the lines seem much longer but move surprisingly fast). If I could recommend 1 meal it would be the stuffed hash browns. The full order is easily 4 lb of hash browns, cheese, eggs, and a variety of sauces (depending on the version you get), It tastes great and I dare anyone to still be hungry after eating. With the food being so good you would expect it to be a little pricey, but it is dirt cheap, The full order of hashbrowns is only $7.50 and is about the most expensive thing on the menu. If you are looking for a great place to grab breakfast/brunch in the Green Bay, area this is definitely the place to go.

Fantastic pancakes in a variety of flavors. Even if you're a big eater, good luck finishing more than one. Decor is dated, but don't let that scare you off! Far better than Denny's and Perkins.

As a Green Bay local, The Pancake Place is my family's go to breakfast spot. The food is delicious and affordable. The staff is friendly and the environment is relaxed. The coffee is good and the stuffed hash browns are the best! The only drawback is there is a crowd on weekends so get here early!
